Training sessions November-December (2016-11-13)
Would you like to lift your badminton skills to a higher level?
Do you take part in tournaments and would you like to finish in the top ranking for a change ?
Or would you like to beat that one particular doubles team that keeps giving you headaches ?
Well, starting on November 17 your dreams may come true ! OK, that might be an overstatement, but we will offer you our help. From that date our training series of 5 one-hour sessions will start. These will be given by a licenced trainer from Badminton Vlaanderen. This person has played competition and tournaments for the past 13 years, and will undoubtedly be an asset to our club.
To make sure everything will run smoothly we would like to ask everyone who wants to participate to subscribe on our web site, the same way as for our normal play nights. The maximum number of participants is limited to 16 (4 courts), this to allow everyone the same opportunity to take full advantage of this training. So for those training sessions all courts will be reserved between 19h-20h, unless we don't reach our 16 people limit. Normal play is possible between 18h-19h.
If you're interested, please subscribe to
all sessions, as different subjects will be treated, ranging from correct hitting technique to foot work to doubles' tactics. In short, everything to make you a better badminton player ! Possibly the final session will be focused on tips & tricks for playing singles matches.
Should you work in shifts, you will have to miss a few lessions but don't let that stop you.
Finally: this offer is primarily aimed at our members, but is definitely open to non-members who still have some doubts about becoming a member. So if you're not a member yet (and without member ID), contact someone from the DT board forthwith.
Now hurry on to our web site www.doubletrouble.be and subscribe. Don't forget to subscribe for all 5 sessions.
Should this be an overwhelming success and we get more than 16 applicants, we will look at the sequence of subscribing (first come, first served). But don't panic: next year we're hoping to repeat this initiative.
Play dates: 17/11, 24/11, 1/12, 8/12, 15/12
